Our story
Warmth is not a small thing
We're in Mechanicsville, Virginia. We bring new fleece blankets and stuffed animals to shelters, so nobody's waiting for a home with nothing of their own.
What we believe
Shelters do hard work with not enough of anything, and the people in them give more comfort than anyone on the outside realizes. Kennels get cleaned. Everyone gets fed. Vets get called. There's no shortage of kind hands.
But the hands go home at night. A blanket and something to hold is the comfort that stays once the lights go off.
That's the small thing we do. We're not a shelter and we're not a rescue — they're far better at that than we'd ever be. We just make sure nobody's lying on bare concrete with nothing.
Where it all comes from
Two things keep this going.
People donate blankets and stuffed animals — new ones, bought for us. Those go straight to a shelter, just as they are.
The rest we buy, and that's what the gear will pay for: the blankets, the toys, and the gas to get them there.
That's it. There's nothing else in it.
Come find us
We take a booth to festivals and community events around the Greater Richmond area and Hampton Roads. Easiest way to see the blankets is to come and find us. We're always up for a chat.
